I was wading through the pile of stuff in my room, and I found Final Fantasy VIII (All 4 discs) and I've been playing it ever since.
'Tis a really good game, but the storyline kind of got dumber at the beginning of Disc 2. I'm at almost at Disc 3, but at least it's a really good game. The only things that kind of make me wish they'd work more on is the Battle System. It seems slower now, and focus more on Summoning, rather than the battles itself (But the Boss Battles make up for it by having to use both styles of battle, but normal battles aren't as fun as they were, like in Final Fantasy VI, which is the best Final Fantasy I've played so far).
Final Fantasy VI (Or Final Fantasy III for the SNES version) is the best RPG I've played so far. The storyline, the awesome battle system, the music, the graphics and the whole epicity of the game makes it worthwhile. Another really awesome FF is Final Fantasy IV, so if you like RPGs, then you MUST play them.
Well, when I finish FFVIII, I talked to a close friend of mine and he said that he really wanted to play it. So I told him that when I finish the game, I'll let him borrow it if he lets me borrow his FFVII (Yes, THE FFVII). So he was like "OK". So when I finish it, I'll be playing it to see if it's worth the hype. Finally, I'll be able to see all the characters as STRAIGHT! (Sorry Yaoi fans) But enough Final Fantasy.
I've been playing Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace, and I think that it's the best in the series (mostly due to the fact that Wi-Fi battles are really fun and you can use most of the battle cards in previous installments). The storyline is OK, and I DO think it should be rated a little higher than what magazines tell you. BUT.
There's one thing I agree with them on. And I learned this by watching it by their point of view. I'm sure that most of them LOVE Mega Man, and only wish for the best for the series. Now, the thing that they say that I agree on is the fact that they CAN make it better, but they settle for less. The MMSF series CAN have way better graphics, a much more enjoyable battle style and an apocalyptic plot like no other; but the people at Capcom settle for less and give you the same thing over and over. And I have a feeling they did the same with the EXE/StarForce crossover. It's a pretty good game, but they should make the series better by taking more risks in the game-making itself.
I think the reason they give it piss-poor rating is to deliver the message to Capcom and MAKE them do something better.
Argh! I wish Nintendo would release Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story already! It looks really awesome, but the game came out like 7 months ago! I want to play it NOW!
So, I guess that's all for now.
